My Work Area

I thought I would share a few dodgy pictures of part of my work area.

Mostly I work / study at my desk where I have two monitors, keyboard, and a midi keyboard. I use headphones mostly but have a pair of monitor speakers, one on each side of the screens.

I have my rack under the desk that has my PC, audio interface, and some the random outboard gear that I have yet to find the need for, or have the ability to get to work ☹

I have a little table to the side that I use to keep papers and books on that I use regularly, and a nice desk chair that has movable arms that are great when playing guitar.

I have mics and stands, alternative midi control surfaces stored in a set of drawers, and have a laptop setup with Cubase, Dorico, and the BBBCSO software, although I use this rarely due to my poor aging eyes finding it difficult with the smaller screen. It is good when travelling to the beach or forest or somewhere inspiring.

I have many random instruments such as a pedal steel, violin, banjo, kalimba, and many percussion instruments randomly stored under the bed and in totes around the house.

I guess it is a disorganized mess, but I mostly know where things are. The guitars hang on the wall, or on stands around the place.

It is humble but suits my purposes. Then there are the books that occupy numerous shelves, totes, and cardboard boxes. I just need to get to reading them now.

A small look at where I am learning and the area I call my studio, office, study.
