This time of year, is always a time of preparation for the forthcoming year. Planning and plotting and making resolutions. Although I am not really one for resolutions, I certainly enjoy planning and making decisions on what I expect to be doing in the coming months, just so I can change my mind and do something completely different,

This year is no different, just the plans and the goals have changed.

I intend to continue the journey that I have started into the musical universe and to learn as much as I can and enjoy creating, whether that goes anywhere or is just for personal enjoyment.

I am beginning to realize that taking care of oneself is important and being able to relax is important not always having goals and constant overplanning of life.

Life is what we make it, and we should take time to enjoy it.

First and foremost are family and self and those are always the number one priority in every decision.
Next comes everything else.

So, what is everything else?

Well, for me there are personal goals to learn as much as I can about music, music theory, composition and so on. I need to rein myself in though, and remember that although interesting and desirable I cannot allow them to overshadow the other things that make life what it is.

I think that ultimately this year my intentions are clear. To prioritize family and self, then follow my musical journey, but not let that take control. I want to concentrate on enjoying life, each and every day.
