Travelling Composition Kit

, ,

My wife and I are planning a trip, and I have been trying to put together a travelling kit of things to take to be able to get down any ideas whilst we are away.

What have I got in my kit?

These are the basics

  • Acoustic Guitar
  • Tascam handheld digital recorder
  • Laptop with Dorico and Cubase, with BBCSO libraries on an external disk
  • Akai MPK mini
  • Some manuscript notebooks and pens
  • USB stick with music files and documents on
  • Laptop bag

Anything else I need, I wonder.

I want to keep things compact and thus far everything is in one laptop bag, well, except the guitar, that would be a bit of a squeeze.

I was thinking about taking an audio interface but in all honesty I do not think that I will need it as I can use the handheld recorder when necessary.

Anything else I may need?
